Horses have been my constant for almost 20 years. Amidst the jobs and life changes I had an Arabian Mare for 15 of those years. In 2017 I said “See you soon” and gave her one last kiss on the nose. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. Neki (pronounced Nikki) taught me so much about life and also my relationship with God.
I had a slight lower back injury from horseback riding that took place in my late teens. That same day it happened I saw a chiropractor. For years I went regularly. At good times monthly, but sometimes weekly or more than once a week. It wasn’t until 2015-2016 that I started getting massages in addition to my adjustments. I felt SO MUCH BETTER! I always thought it was something that was considered a splurge, pampering, a once in a lifetime experience for those who had the money to do it. I realized as I got monthly massages and continued my workout regimen, I didn’t have to go to the chiropractor as often.
Then, in 2018 I changed my diet to focus on gut health. My new doctor and chiropractor told my husband what he needed to do to heal his gut and cut out ingredients that disrupted it and caused inflammation in body/joints. Ingredients that are found in most of our foods today. I listened intently and made the decision I would do the same to support him, even though I thought I “felt fine”. It took a few months for the regular headaches I had to go away, but they DID! How much they had robbed me of valuable younger years. What’s even better is the fact that since I had cut out inflammatory foods I was able to hold my adjustments longer since the inflammation was down in my body plus other added benefits I noticed in my daily life. How I wish the 4 chiropractors in 4 states I lived in had talked to me about my diet in addition to massage many years ago. It would have saved me a lot of money, time and tears.
In February of 2016 I became a distributor of Young Living Essential Oils and experienced even more wellness with the toxin free products and plant juice I was using consistently. I didn’t realize how much the shampoos, lotions, cleaning products and candles were making an impact on how I felt. I completely switched!!! Frankincense got rid of a lump on my dogs ear and I didn’t have to pay for surgery! #winwin? I was hooked ever since. I am currently a Senior Star in rank and leadership with my network marketing business and proudly lead a growing team of families and individuals in their health and wellness journey
✨Then it hit me. What I was meant to do. I always thought I would be a vet tech or a veterinarian. I volunteered at spay and neuter clinics, shadowed as a 12 year old for almost 2 years at my local vet office, volunteering with horses and special needs…I enjoyed all of it! But, it wasn’t it. I realized that I wanted to work with horses and I wanted to help them strive for wellness as I had in my own life.
So, in 2016 I chose to get certified in sports massage for horses. I currently hold 5 certifications including Equine Sports Massage Therapist, Rehabilitation Therapy, Raindrop Technique with Essential Oils, Muscle Taping and Master Herbalist with Aromatherapist soon to be added to the list.
For three years, I distributed and referred clients to an herbal company all while tracking and gaining insight to special cases, issues and the results due to a healthy diet. I did a lot of book reading, personal research and took some courses. Now, I offer herbs at a great price, directly from me for those who want to choose these options. Herbs focused on gut health, a clean diet and prayer actually saved my horse Sis, of severe bleeding ulcers in May 2018. She healed in one month and now her story and what we went through has been able to help countless other horses and owners. You may read her story, located in the top menu of this page.
The chapters haven’t always been easy, some have been really hard. All that I’ve been through has helped me to help others. I’m still learning. I will still make mistakes. I will probably view things differently in the future than I do now. Most importantly I don’t view things the way I used to. That’s progress! May you all be blessed as you continue learn along with me.
Love, Chelsea
